Wedding consultations: what now, what next?
The first email
Upon your first email,
you will receive a comprehensive information pack & questionnaire to fill in to start our initial conversations and inspiration boards.
I will share an online calendar inviting you and your partner to book a 60 minute in-person consultation with me.
Visit the workshop
By coming to my workshop,
you get to see the great flowers on offer (May-October), I can pick for you certain flowers you may not have thought about using, but you will also view my range of glassware, pottery, props, plinths, urns and candlewear available to hire.
And you get a great cup of tea and a biscuit!
Bespoke quote
I will then prepare a bespoke quote,
based on our conversations and inspiration which you will receive within 48 hours of our meeting.
I mainly work on my own, and use a trusted list of excellent freelance florists to work on your wedding if required. I work on one wedding a day, focusing on YOUR special day.
You will have seven days to confirm if you wish to proceed to book me and pay the £500 booking fee to secure me for your wedding.
Booking confirmation
Once your booking is confirmed,
you will have access to email support throughout your planning period.
Please note that during peak wedding season, response times may be slightly delayed due to existing client commitments, however, all inquiries will be responded to within standard office hours.
Site visits can be arranged if required.
The six week countdown
Six weeks before your big day,
I touch base to see how your plans are being finalized and confirm the amount of table-centres you will be requiring.
By four weeks before your big day, we have email contact to confirm the original quote and any alterations that you may require, ask you to fill out my emergency contact form and arrange delivery times and addresses and the final balance is due.
Behind the scenes I will be busy preparing my order lists, cleaning props/glassware, prepping workflows, arranging freelancers, conditioning your flowers and foliage, packaging and so much more!
I will personally deliver all bridal and groom party flowers to you.
Each bouquet or buttonhole arrives in a glass vase with water to keep everything fresh. I’ll show you exactly how to care for your flowers, how to hold or wear them, and how to get the best angles in your photos. I’ll also guide you on how to preserve your florals – whether for pressing or long-term keepsakes.
Together with my team, I’ll set up all table centrepieces and floral installations. If needed, we can also stay to move arrangements from your ceremony to the reception, ensuring you get the most out of your floral designs throughout the day.
I will return the following day to clear down any installations and collect any hired props/glassware, remember the flowers and foliage are yours to take home or give away.
Yes, I can only take on a limited number of weddings a year, so have a minimum spend during the busier months of May to October of £2,000.
Delivery, setup, breakdown, extra fees for staying throughout the ceremony and moving decor between venues, cleaning, packaging, conditioning, late night cleardowns, flower disposal, Christmas and New year premium (if required), freelance staff, fuel, business running costs and tax.
It’s best for us to start talking around a year before your wedding date, or earlier if your wedding is a popular summer weekend wedding date. But generally once you’ve booked your venue as things will fall into place once you have this.
No, this is what I’m here for, relax and enjoy our consultation, I will give you plenty of inspiration and seasonal knowledge.
I generally work across Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Essex, but I do also take on weddings further afield, so do ask if it’s an area I’ve not mentioned.
